The Crystal Experiment
So many cool experiments these days for kids to do. And I'm not even sure what this one is, but it's been lying on our bench for around 3 weeks, growing. It started life as a plastic container, a rock, and water. Now it's a piece of art. Tomorrow I believe it's going to be deconstructed.
Other than that. New team member started today. Got off to a bad start as he went to our old office. As he's in online marketing one of his first jobs is to see why Google hasn't updated our address, despite doing all the right things as far as we're concerned. Cleary one of life's greater mysteries. But the rest of the day went well, and he'll be a star.
Pilates, then home. First time I've seen the kids in nearly a week. They were excited to hear we're getting cats, but to Adams credit, when he found out how much they were he thought we should only get one, as of course did I.
Sadly however, the female of the species is very persuasive. So two it is. But the housekeeper was "let go" to pay for them (semi-serious there) and the kids will pick up the slack. Ever the pragmatist, I figure it will be net financial gain, and family unity will be restored. Everyone wins ;-)
BTW, absolutely loving this Canon S100. A substantial step up from the S95, and I reckon it would give the 7D a run for its money in some areas!
