Torturing my Germans with homophones today* and one of the ones I gave them
was 'ate' & 'eight'. Markus tried to insist that the two words sound different when he says them, but this is also the guy that thought 'debt' & 'dad' could be homophones...
So then I asked them why six was scared of seven, just need to remember the channel swimming cat joke for next week now.


* it's their fault, they started it, they asked for grammar!
