Bamse - heroic St Bernard
My Pain Management day. Not so many people there today - about 10 instead of the usual 20 - this resulted in a lot more talking between people which was a good thing. Nothing new but good to be amongst people with similar experiences to oneself. In the Health Centre Reception area stands a statue of Bamse, who was the mascot of a wartime minesweeper named 'Thorodd' which was anchored in Montrose during WW2. He was a very brave dog which you can read about HERE! There are two statues in his honour in Montrose (I have blipped the outdoors one before) and probably many more in people's homes. During the war he was considered a symbol of Freedom for Norwegians. Have a nice evening. everyone!
