Bush Pea

In the Mt. Lofty region of South Australia there are 53 species with pea flowers (including invasive weeds - 5 species).  I know - I just counted them all in the book.

After exhaustive research, I have decided that this is a Large-Leafed Bush-Pea (Pultenaea daphnoides).  Please don't tell me I'm wrong!

This particular shrub is just coming into flower, and you have to admit it's pretty - and spectacular.

Whilst not precisely sunshiny today, it is at least dry and pleasant. so much so that the Park was pretty busy - lots of hikers, and why not.  It's a lovely place to be at this time of year.

I took great pleasure in introducing a boy to the delights of sundews.  When I left him and his dad, they were both crouched down peering at these tiny plants working out which of the leaves had insects in them.  The lad was enthralled.
