Wattle
This is one of the 47 wattles we have endemic to this State. It's the Kangaroo Thorn or Acacia paradoxa. Bushy, prickly, over head high, not something you'd want to get caught in the middle of. But very pretty. I have a more conventional image in extras. Those thorns are as bad as they look, but it's important habitat for the little birds. It gives them protection.
I have this brilliant book called "It's Blue with Five Petals" by Ann Prescott. It makes it fairly easy to ID all the wonderful flora we have in the State.
The weather was glorious today, and Rower, Mish and I had a lovely walk in the Park latish this afternoon.
