The Neglected Garden : rose.

A Fly-(mo)-ing  visit to the neglected garden,  with lots of nominal weeding in the guise of grabbing clumps of grass, horsehair fern and other opportunist weedery out of places that pretend to be borders!  At this point in the summer, it looks as though the adjacent field is about to invade, especially since the legitimate plants and shrubs are overgrown to the point of hysteria.   You should see the astilbe!  No chance of a tidy garden until die-back and rumping time.
