Still a Manchester City player 24 hours earlier, Devante Cole came on as a substitute and scored the winner for Bradford in injury time. He then came over to our corner to celebrate. Team mate Billy Knott looks as pleased as the fans.

The first half hadn't promsed much. Port Vale looked much brighter in the first 20 minutes before it settled into a turgid stalemate. The Bantams were much improved in the second half though, showing link-up play and football that had been missing in home games up to now. Mark Marshall and later Josh Morris made strong contributions, but it was that last minute effort from Cole that sent 11yo home happy in his new City shirt.
