Orange Poppies at The Esplanade, Rishton.

The weather is warm and beautifully sunny.
I have so far resisted a Cornetto.
These gorgeous pale orange poppies are at their best now and provide colour in the Council planted area outside an old part of Rishton called The Esplanade near the War Memorial. I love their vibrance and striking pattern and how they come up faithfully every year in June.
Maria came home early from college which was nice and I have done a lot of housework while waiting for a re- delivery of a parcel from Royal Mail.
Arthur pussycat has been soaking up the rays on the front room window sill.
One very happy cat!
