Unusual Gladioli

Last Autumn, I planted a large tub with a dozen Gladioli bulbs hoping that they would give a touch of colour on the patio this Autumn. They have all grown to the normal height but only one plant has grown a flower stem, and there was only one flower bud on that stem which has now opened. Clearly they are not happy with being in a tub, so I will put them out into the garden at the end of the season.
