And then there were ten

Once upon a time there was me. And then we became a couple. We made up a foursome with his cousin and his wife and we each had our children, one after the other. And now, when we meet, we are ten. How did that happen?

So six children, four adults and two dogs walked to Yarmouth this morning in blue skies and sunshine. On the old station platform, 'Off The Rails', we had pancakes and eggs and bacon rolls, good coffee, homemade lemonade and rekindled conversation from the night before.

Then there was swimming and a boat ride, scooting, biking, new games and tricks on a rip-stik. Cooking, charades, children and wet dogs everywhere. Cousins, uncles, aunts, second cousins, family business, pouring rain and tall stories.

And then, at the end of a long full happy family day there was this sky. If this has to be the end of the summer, it's a good place to end it.
