Waiting for the BBQ and playing dead...

My little girl doesn't half crack me up. This is her waiting for the BBQ to be ready yesterday afternoon playing dead (aka Sleeping Beauty).

Having a lovely time in the Dales. The village we are staying in is gorgeous and nestled between two stunning valleys and has a bubbling river running through it. There's literally one pub and a general store and rows of cottages and a park. The locals are really friendly and it's the perfect antidote to my busy PR life.

Unfortunately my MIL is poorly so she's been in bed most of the time but Squidge has enjoyed playing with her Grandad Dan and the change of scene.

Big news, we forgot her nighttime pull-ups so she went without the first night and as we were in the same room, we were able to help her when she needed the loo. Last night she was dry all night so we have inadvertently won at night time potty training without even meaning to which is a result!

Watched X Factor (much to the bemusement of the in-laws who have never seen it and couldn't quite believe how a) loud it was and b) how many advert breaks there were) last night and drank far too much vino. Sore head this morning so off for a big walk to clear it!
