Claire et Diego

Today's the day .......................... to get married

One of the reasons for coming to France was that we had been invited to the wedding of Claire and Diego - and today was the day that it all happened.

It was always going to be something out of the ordinary because Claire is French and Diego is Spanish - and the wedding combined the two cultures in a day of happy celebration.  We started in the church of St Pierre in the town of Voiron and ended up en plein air in the nearby village of St Cassien with a wonderful band playing so that everyone could have a dance.

This the newly married couple just outside the church - and the streaks of light are the lavender flowers that everyone was given to shower them with.  Such a happy day ................................
