The Parent Trap

Ethan and I took part in a 5k race today with a difference.  It was the
Parent Trap obstacle race and the kids were all given a free water pistol with which to shoot their parents with water while they were running!  I was still feeling like death warmed up and wasn't really up for running a 5k, but Ethan was so looking forward to this, I didn't want to let him down.    

He did amazingly well - running the whole course, apart from when he had to slow down to climb over the obstacles / stop at the water stations to fill up his water pistol.  The end was the best for him with inflatable obstacles / slides including one filled to the brim with foam which we had to wade through.  He loved the whole course, but sadly a few minutes before the end it started to pour with rain.  It was a big walk back to the car and although I piggy backed him, we got soaked and he was really upset by the time we got back.

I was so exhausted I went straight to bed when we got home, and stayed there for the rest of the day!
