Simon's Seat

It was a beautiful Saturday so no possible complaint about the weather this weekend. Body, mind and spirit were all shouting escape but it wasn't until the afternoon that I managed to get away. I needed a decent dose of solitude today and found that on the bike. There seemed to be remarkably few people about.

As the day wore on the wind eased and the clouds dissipated creating space for some gorgeous light. It was a day for stopping and looking for photographs rather than piling on the miles. It was the perfect tonic after all the stresses of the last week.

NB Need to go large to properly appreciate this one.
