Powerless

Our power is still out and may not be restored until Tuesday at 6 p.m. I'm writing this at a friend's home, where I'm also doing laundry and have brought our perishable food items.

We're leaving tomorrow and staying near the airport, which will make our Tuesday morning departure for points east much easier than getting up in a dark house at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday with no breakfast possible.

These inconveniences are minor indeed compared to those whose homes were damaged by the windstorm or in the eastern part of the state, the wildfires still raging.
