Hawkhill Avenue (just off it, on the cycle path)

Sloe update: They're looking a lot riper now. The green has largely gone and the berries are a bluey purple; not quite swollen enough yet or indeed pliable, but they're getting there. I think on my return from the weekend's epic wander, it may be time to start gathering them. Normally I'd leave until  later in September / early October, but there's fierce competition in these here parts for sloes, so, best not be slow.
In other news, don't try and have a conversation about Mr Yu ( a Chinese gentleman) with his friend who's English is about as good as my Cantonese.

Me: "So who lives here, then?
Him: "You"
Me:" No, I don't live here, who does?"
Him: "You"
[.....repeat to fade.....]
