Cairn Lodge

A rather tedious journey back up the motorways today, especially the section running between Birmingham and Manchester. The Bank Holiday and the end of August meant there were lots of people going away for the weekend or returning home.

Cairn Lodge was one of several stops on the way north. An unusual service area in that there is this castle like construction within the service area. The worst thing about the service area is that it is so far off the motorway. The car park area is also badly in need of resurfacing.

Not one of faster journeys today, but at least there was no rain.
