Spring.....not really!

Oh dear, it has rained and been quite cold for the first day of spring.

Luckily the little branches of Stellata Magnolia that I nicked picked from a locals garden last week and have been enjoying in a vase were still looking quite spritely. Put them against the opaque bathroom window and used my macro on a tripod. They really are a favourite of mine, they seem so delicate but have that detailed stamen.

Ian is getting ready for the four yearly survey of the boat and there are all new regulations requiring so much ridiculous paperwork, bureaucracy gone mad!! So spent a good part of the wet day sorting out forms with him....well making a start!

...and for those of you who follow Richardg, I spoke with his wife today to see if she had any news of the Intrepid Traveller...and all good. He had emailed yesterday, and all safe and thoroughly enjoying his adventure in Kashmir. One of the passes they drove over was at 18,000 feet...feel breathless thinking about it.
