Burro Taxi

In the early 1960's, workers usually returned home on their donkeys and were often stopped by visitors to take photos. Nearly every time, the tips given were more than a day's wage.

It was due to this that a new profession was born; the Burro (donkey) taxi service. At present, it has become an institution, with over 60 taxis, being one of the main tourist attractions of Mijas.
