Zilina

A morning flight to Zilina in Slovakia for the launch of the new Kia cee'd. Our base for today has been the Kia training centre alongside the factory where the cee'd is produced. Although it is the product of a South Korean manufacturer, this car was designed, engineered and is built in Europe.

Today has been hot, hot, hot, with 34 deg C showing on the car thermometer early this afternoon. As dusk fell this evening the light was beautiful beneath a cloudless sky.

Kia is a very big employer in this area. So much so that an unofficial sign at the border describes the country as Slova-Kia!
