A Green Tomb

I'm exaggerating (a bit). Green is my favourite colour anyway although I am starting to go off it slightly. Do you see the rectangular bucket (level with the second floor) on that column that goes up and down for workmen to stand in and be transported to the top of the building? Our office is behind that on the ground floor and that's the side I sit on. It's a big open plan office and people on the other side of it don't get the green tinge to their day or see the legs going up and down clumping along all day.

We had team briefing this morning. It was quite brief, I am glad to say. The boss asked if we had any questions and I asked him if he could get the builders to do a dance along the planks once a day to keep us amused! He didn't comment and who can blame him? I imagine a Riverdance performance would bring the house down, in more ways than one.....

What are they doing? Replacing windows on the 5th floor and generally cleaning the brickwork we are told. I don't mind all the rattling and clanging as well as hysterical laughter coming from the platform above. I have often remarked the office is like a morgue, it's so quiet. Now it's like a green tomb with added background noise.

Maybe Ashes to Ashes isn't the most appropriate track in the world to go with this but dust to dust and all that..... Also, you wouldn't really have preferred Bob the Builder, would you?
