Puffballs

The Wonder Dog took us out for a walk in the woods today and a classic autumnal day it was too, cold and sunny. In some ways I think that's almost perfect weather - cold enough to enjoy but nice and light.

Today's dog count was

2 Labradors - Gold and chocolate.
1 Greyhound
1 jack Russell
1 Staffordshire Terrier. Which, unfortunately became a new best pal of Ruaridh.
2 Cocker Spaniels.
1 Miniature Schnauzer
and a Collie.

On the way back BB literally stumbled on this patch of puffballs gently puffing out their spores.

A rather nice way to spend an afternoon.
