A Local Hero

What a day it is, with a big storm and dropping temperatures, it sure feels like the first day of winter. Were not getting it as bad as our blippin' chums in Orkney but is feels bad enough.

I met Keith this morning and just like the beachcomber in the film Local Hero he lives in a little caravan on our beach with his two dogs Tilley and Fly. Well at least he does from May to November, then he heads back to his other home in Middlesbourgh for the winter.


So it's time to get tucked up the night with a big fire and a good read.



......... I've just popped out and the hills have their first covering of snow of the year.
