Well known phrase or saying....

"A waste of a good walk..." is probably usually uttered by those who are hopeless at the game.   (such as I)

[Extra]  "A light at the end of the tunnel..."  doesn't necessarily mean there's a train coming in the opposite direction.

A nice walk from Peebles to Cardrona - about three miles along old railway track beside the Tweed.    The historical romantic in me would wish that the railway still ran along the track.   However, come Sunday, the new Borders Railway to Tweedbank re-opens 46 years after it was closed.
