Elders on duty....

John (L) came to the valley 50 years ago.  He and his wife  started a sideline selling a few eggs round the doors.  Today his company owns five farms, produces 1.4 m eggs a day, and is the largest private employer in the Scottish Borders.   Ian (R) knows the valley inside out.  His roots here stretch far back.   His main business at the moment is supplying aggregates for wind turbine installations.
