Whoops ....I've missed a bit !

I did get out in the car yesterday but I didn't go far. In fact just around the corner where more demolition work is being carried out. This used to be a 5 storey office building and when Equitable Life was at its height in status in the town they rented it along with a number of others. The recession ensured a large downsizing of this company and at the time it affected the jobs market in Aylesbury alarmingly. 

Anyway enough of that I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who commented on my pseudo 1000 blip milestone...thank you for your comments your stars & hearts & thanks for supporting me during a time which is, to say the least, difficult. Thanks also to Julie B for understanding my predicament and forgiving me for not attending yours & Matt's wedding which is next weekend. I'm sure you will have a fabulous day & everything will go swimmingly.

Its cool but dry so far today. The weatherman said it should brighten up this afternoon....but we'll have to wait and see.

On this day in 1986 a Pan Am aircraft is hijacked at Karachi airport & in 1847 the infamous Jesse James dies & then 1877 Crazy Horse the native American Indian leader dies aged 27.

In 1979 Earl Mountbatten's funeral is held in London.
