Home Comforts
My training course went well today however the drive from the Forest of Dean to Mum's house in Northamptonshire was slow - it took me four hours to do about 120 miles - the M5, M42 and M6 being solid with Friday evening traffic. I felt pretty weary by the time I arrived so I made myself some home comforts - a big mug of tea and cheese and tomatoes on toast. The kitchen has several bowls full of home-grown tomatoes which taste heavenly. They are far superior to the tomatoes I have grown in my garden this year. Mum's have been living it up in a nice warm greenhouse where as mine have been shivering in the garden - I think this has impaired the development of their flavour. A catch up with Mum, then to bed!
