Unexpected Late Blooms

Went last night, with M, to the Midlands Arts Centre to see "45 Years" - a tender, beautiful, haunting, extremely well-acted and thought-provoking film, about the secrets you keep in a long marriage; the complexity of relationships; the choice we always have to change...

Love going to the MAC - so civilised. Glass of wine in the bar beforehand, no eating or drinking in the cinema, no latecomers allowed - you know you'll be able to concentrate on the film.

Then we went to pick daughter up from her waitress job - rather a contrast... Got treated to a glass of wine by Beth in the Deli while we waited for her to finish.
