Backwater Reservoir
Chores done and the sun shining, it was time for another drive round the lovely countryside. We headed into Angus and decided to visit the Backwater Reservoir, as we hadn't been there for a while. It was looking as bonny as ever - but for how much longer?
Signs posted by the local water board say that it's been selected as a wind farm site and show sketches of how the area might look when they are erected. Desecration is what I'd call it and I sincerely hope they never get planning permission, otherwise this glorious view will be ringed with huge turbines. There are lots of hills round about which could take these monsters without impinging on this site, so hope they will reconsider.
