2015 Saturday -- Comparsion

I spent a large portion of this day working at my computer. The first week of school has concluded and during this week, each student was required to send me two emails : one to introduce him or herself and the other to submit the first essay assignment. So approx 300 or more new emails arrived in my in-box, and some students sent more because they had questions. The first week is always this way, and it is always overwhelming.

When I respond to each student's email, I also create a group list for each class. This semester I am teaching 5 classes. I'm required to teach 3, and this semester I agreed to teach 2 "overload" classes.

That's what my Saturday involved.
