Making Compost

Before leaving for the weekend I emptied the kitchen compost caddy into the garden compost bin. 
As soon as the lid was opened the woodlice scattered but the slugs continued their munching: I counted twelve yellow slugs (Limax flavus), plus a couple of worms.
