Piel island

I've been out on the briny sea again around Walney Island on the edge of Morecambe Bay.  I cheekily asked if I could join a group staying for the weekend at Tower Wood Outdoor centre and the organiser agreed.  I joined eight others and it turned out they where from just up the road from where I live.  We had a cracking time and the weather was perfect and the sea challenging enough to make it safe but interesting.  I had a different boat then last time a bit shorter and slimmer and not as stable.  saw the seals up close again and plenty of waders, plus Eiders and terns.
