Pisco Tour

Pisco Sours are the official drink of Peru! We have sampled many in the few weeks we have been here. It's a cocktail, Pisco being the liquor mixed with lime juice and shaken egg whites... There are many different varieties, Jess' favorite being the Sexy Pisco! So today we went on a Pisco tour to waste some time before our overnight bus. Pisco is made similar to wine, the grapes grown in Peru for Pisco are too sour for nice wine. The vineyard we visited was traditional and in March each year during harvest they have a festival for 2 weeks where ladies stomp on the grapes to produce the juice before fermentation! As usual, the best part of the tour was the tasting at the end. We even purchased a pre mixed bottle of Pisco Sour.
