Lesser Sand Plover
I'm pretty confident of my identification of this beautiful tiny little bird, Lesser Sand Plovers have large eyes, a black beak and greeny grey legs, the colour of the wing and head with the white chest and underbelly all look right, but it does look very similar to a Kentish Plover. Please feel free to correct me. Superb camouflage and again one of those little wetland birds that is easily missed, it moves very quickly and then stops and blends completely into the background of sand and mud. A gorgeous little bird to spot, industriously looking for insects and small crustacea.
