The life lesson this morning wasn't on "death and dying". . . we've had plenty of those. Nope, this morning when we found one of our feathered friends had perished outside our sliding glass door, Dad gave Alex the dirty job of disposing of the little guy. He wasn't too keen on the idea until he picked it up and was amazed at how light it was. Fascination took over for a bit as he examined the bird. Then he looked at me and said "this is your fault because you keep our windows too clean". Ha! Probably, but I'll take that as a compliment. ;) RIP little birdie.
