Limestone pavement

For my 50th blip, and as the sun was shining, I decided to go up to Orton Fell and photograph the limestone and the view across to the Pennines. This is one of my favourite places, a few miles from home, and usually one has the whole place to oneself.

There is limestone pavement all around here and at the moment there are tiny flowers growing in the grikes, wheatears using the slabs as platforms and skylarks circling above.
