. . . I was so amazed to get a picture at all with all the crowds, so it had to be the blip.

The torch came through Appleby this afternoon and there were huge crowds to welcome it. There was street entertainment and a lot of goodwill around.

If you look behind the bearer at the chap dressed in a suit, whom I have only just managed to catch, you might recognise our MP (Penrith and the Border) Rory Stewart, otherwise known as Rory the Tory.
