Father's Day

I knew today would be really hard. It's strange, as it's just like any other day really, but it felt extra sad not to be able to wish my Dad a happy Father's Day.

Sitting on the beach, I tried to find a way to spend time with him, and had lots of memories to think about. When my Dad was in hospital last November, I had to find his NI card, and whilst looking for it, came accross a drawer full of Birthday and Father's Day cards that I have made him over the years. I was so touched that he had kept them all. I still find it hard to understand that he's not here for me to do that anymore. I miss him terribly.
