Mono Monday: Contrasts

It was the big bosses' birthday today and a few people got together to bake some cakes. This burger cake Victoria sponge was one of four and was the most colourful as all the others were chocolate cake. I thought it looks much better in colour (see extra), and makes for a GOOD blip as it contains a number of contrasting textures/tastes.

Later in the afternoon we had samosas which are always a treat. And meeting up with friend Miriam in the evening finished the day off really nice. We checked out a Turkish restaurant that we've been wanting to go to for quite a while. It was great but I wish we had got to sit out on the terrace and take in the views of the City on a clear night.
