Mainz

A day for my inner Geek - Mainz Cathedral (where this Blip was taken) and the Gutenberg museum, which celebrates the achievements of Johannes Gutenberg, who invented the western world's first printing press and paved he way for mass education. I got a little bit dizzy seeing two Gutenberg Bibles in the same room at the same time - definitely a geek-fest!

This was followed with a brief stop at Worms, to see where Luther posted his 95 theses.  What a combined legacy the two men have!

Carried on to Heidelberg, our stop for the night. On to the Black Forest tomorrow, after a visit to the castle, for a few days which will be more chilled. Might even get the knitting out...
