Angle Shades Moth

I wonder how that unusual name was chosen ..... moths, in particular, have some very strange names. According to Google ...... at rest the moth resembles a wrinkled leaf. Perhaps it does if resting on a bit of bark or a fallen leaf but not when it is at rest on a rather dirty looking yellow daisy type flower.
