Celebration

Slightly more tenuous link to the Queen tonight. Charlotte's school had a day of celebration today in her honour. The children were asked to dress as a famous person from during the reign.

We decided Virginia Wade would be a good idea - she won Wimbledon in 1977 which was Silver Jubilee year, and the queen presented her with the trophy. With the help of our design department we made a replica trophy out of corrugated board. They designed and cut it out, we painted it, and it looked pretty good.

They had a good day, the local press and TV cameras came along. Unfortunately Calendar only showed literally two seconds of their street party!
