E tama e, hoki mai ra.
Thank you so much for all the lovely, lovely comments about my Toolibelle yesterday. She was just a dream.... I was so, so proud, but you probably realised that.
I went into panic mode at 11 pm, when she phoned. I thought something awful must have happened, but she was calling me from the loo to tell me she had been voted Prom Queen.
This was a complete surprise, as Tooli had been instrumental in organising the Prom alongside her Co-Captain and Vices, and did not know this would be happening. But voting slips were on the tables, and everyone voted.... votes were counted and my Baby got a Cowboy hat with a Flashing Tiara on it.
My horrific curse of migraine has been passed to Tooliebelle, and in exactly the same way I get it. Cope through weeks of stress and effort, and when the stress is all gone : WHAM. She had been stressing so much about getting everything ready for the prom as soon as it had passed without a problem, the migraine struck.
At 1 am she was rummaging thru the pills in the bathroom looking for head ache tablets. I wanted her to go to bed, but she wanted to go to the after-party party. So we lay on the couch for 40 minutes while the pills kicked in, and she went and got changed.
Boy came home and told me that he had known Tooli had won Prom Queen as he had seen the count, and when he said how proud he was of her, and amazed at the change in her since he went away last year, I welled up. But my evening didn't stop there at 2.15. I pulled on my dressing gown, took Tooli to her After-Prom Party, and then headed back to bed.
At 4.30, I heard her toddling in the door again, giggling to herself - the migraine had either passed, or she was too drunk to care.
Sorry, folks, changed the Photo - beautiful sunset after the golden evening, - going to be a beautiful day tomorrow
