Underwater wanderings

Woke up very early (sorry another mega nights sleep) and made us some tepid tea from the tray outside our door. Then we had to pack and clear our room for breakfast at 9.30am with the German crew - who were also diving this morning.

Had our last yummy breakfast with fruits in a coconut (no papaya asanti) followed by eggs and home made passion fruit muffuns, Not a muffin person but really going to miss those!Headed out as our 'darum' arrived and Carlos the spanish speaking masai loaded our bags on the bus. Waved our goodbyes to that lodge and headed off to Manchanga Beach Lodge for our day diving. Arrived after 30mins or so and kitted ourselves out for the dive. This was my tird dive and I am thinking I need to do my PADI quick as I love it!
Off on the boat and out with Siedi my dive master. We had a really good dive 50mins and saw loads of fish. Ahighlight for me was the huge school (sp) of snapper fish rythmically moving with the current - I am sure Paul and I just stared floating at them for a solid 5mins.

Okay - out of air now - so have to speed the day up. Had lunch on the boat then went snorkling for another hour.

Returned quite tired and had a lovely swim in this resort pool. Mr White Organised a place on the suttle but for us and managed to get a discount for the three other 'wazungu' that were joining us.

Arrived into Stone Town and got to the hotel with the aid of two men -ages probably totalled 180yrs-carrying our bags through the maze of streets. Ended the day on the rooftop restaurant here with sundown drinks then comedy dinner evening of entertainment. They had organised some drummers and dancers who were great - the entertainment was the rest of the dinners - two bubbly gals from London that looked like they had been dropped here from Knightsbridge and two crazy honeymoon couples.....talking constantly about their weddings!!! We both had a very funny evening!
