Misty mountains

After an early 6 mile run around Washington it was time to jump in the beast that is the SUV, leave DC and head for Virginia. For days the bad weather had been promised for Thursday and they were not wrong as we headed into the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah National Park. Foggy and misty mountains (this photo was taken just as we were about to enter a tunnel if you can spot it in front) are never conducive to hiking or view spotting so it was a tough old afternoon but nevertheless 1. It was much cooler and 2. Very pretty regardless.

Tomorrow it's a few hikes and hopefully better weather.
