King of the Moor
Interesting morning walk with juno this morning. Met up with Colin and his dog Saffi, as we were walking up the hill Saffi met us with a live rabbit in her jaws. It was squealing and badly injured. Colin was not upto the task so I wrung its neck, all before breakfast.
Work was a water biscuit of wonder.
Headed out after work with the Just Sitting chap for a wee road cycle. We headed out to Hillend, Auchendinny, Lamancha and back over the moor road.
We met Keith on Macbie Hill, he had to get off and push and was disappointed in himself. We had a chat with him and headed on our way. At the road junction we stopped and waited to chat more to Keith. He is 71 years old and goes out cycling 3 evenings a week, what a cracking character. He wore a tweed jacket, time for a tweed run.
Thanks for the chat and allowing me to take your photo.
The moor road gave itself up easily with a wind behind us and we zoomed homeward. Just Sitting took a wee tumble a bit of TLC did the trick.
Met an old college mate on the way home and had a good chat.
Went to see the ladies at the stables and crawled slowly home starving.
9713 (30mile cycle?)
