Va va voom

We walked down to the bay. Earlier a pod of four jets had coasted by and I'd set up the camera hoping that they would as usual turn past Dover and come back up the Strait with the afterburners on. But they must have had other things on their mind.

But as we got down to the bay past the smell of oily fish and chips a series of Belgian registered sports cars came out of the car park. This one was last and did a nice skid turn for show - presumably why the passenger is giving him a bit of grief.

The camera was all set up for the jets and worked fine. I liked the bloke's big broad grin - very Jean Paul Belmondo or Marcello Mastroianni. La Dolce Vita indeed.

We did spot a Chinook and chopper flying up the Strait as well. You can see someone sitting on the cargo door of the Chinook in the extra.
