WILD ROSES
My choice for Flower Friday. Hosted by BikerBear in a marvellous way.
Again a sunny day, spend the morning reading on the balcony.
The after lunch, Piet Hein came with a great idea, why not drive to the foot of the Deissel mountain, and walk a path around it? I liked that idea a lot. We had not been there ever, only saw the hill from different sides.
We walked a small path, I found a lot of hazelnuts, gathered them, for the squirrels or the raccoons near our home.
In one of the fields a farmer on a tractor was busy. When we came near, he stopped his work, asked if we had met before and after shaking hands with him, he was eager to tell us about his beloved Deisselberg.
Nowadays people did not walk as in earlier times around it. We told him where we came from and how we loved to walk, old and new paths and this one was our first, and how wonderful the view was.
The farmer happened to be 73 soon, but did not want to stop his work, loving being outside and busy.
He showed us a path that went higher up and we followed it, enjoying every minute of it.
My haiku:
I wanted to be
Inspired by a poem Le Vallon
Written by Lamartine
Le Vallon = little valley, a rather melancholic poem, but so sensitive.
Rather a strange haiku, but it wanted to be it this way.
And the proverb:
Stay a while, that we may make an end the sooner.
1580 Sidney, Arcadia
It will be tomorrow when I will browse and comment, feeling tired for the moment.
