Chur altstadt ("old town")

In Chur, I never feel I have left the mountains and yet the altitude is much lower, the apples are growing on trees and it's so much warmer.
We woke to snow on the trees just above our house (see extra): beautiful despite its early arrival. A long weekend in store (I finished work at lunchtime), Mum, Piper and I headed off on the Unesco Heritage train ride through the Albula tunnel to Chur, the capital city of Graubunden. We visited M in the hopsital who is doing fine and followed it with dinner italian-style.
