Arran Ahoy!

After a busy few months it's time to get away from it all for a few days - so Spokes and I have headed north of the border, to Arran, to recharge our batteries.

This shot was taken from the ferry shortly before we arrived at Brodick. It was the perfect afternoon for a ferry trip - the weather's gorgeous, the views are great and, having landed safely, we've spent our first evening settling into our woodland chalet on the edge of the Dyemill Forest just outside Lamlash. The bubbling Monamhor burn runs next to the chalet, red squirrels are scampering about outside and there's a whole island to be explored over the next few days. I can't wait!
